What does the design cost under the HOAI?

An estimate from the fee table of the German HOAI 2021 (fee scale for architects and engineers) — no sign-up, calculated in your browser; nothing leaves your device. Every figure comes with its derivation.

Net, without refurbishment surcharge, incidental costs, special services and VAT. Below €25,000 and above €25 m chargeable costs the fee is freely negotiable.

All prices are net, excluding statutory VAT. Pricing follows the German fee recommendations for BIM management (AHO/DVP: typically 20–25 % of the project management fee). A firm quotation follows a short conversation about project size and discipline models.
